Description
W-Base is a clear extender base for those water based printing methods under taken by many of todays screen printers. This particular product is designed to be used with Coloured pigments to produce the desired shade.
The W-Base has been formulated to work with our CMS (Colour matching system) although this will work with other pigment brands.
The ink Rheology is such that it can be used for long runs without drying into the screen mesh, and the need for constant misting.
This particular screen printing product produces a very fine image detail and the desired softer hand.
Designed to be used with suitable, non coated cotton fabrics only.
How to use
How much squeegee pressure to use is dependent on mesh/fabric count (usually you will want to use heavy pressure)
Print wet on wet, no flash curing.
During long runs it is helpful to mist the screens that are on press with water.
Cure the printed fabric for 2-3 mins at 171-176c
We recommend high volume forced air during curing.
The degree of colour/wash fastness is dependent on proper curing and hence is highly important.
Add retarder to prevent drying in the screens and provide more open time.
